Write for us

Rising Travel Stories welcomes pitches that examine a specific travel choice, habit or encounter with curiosity and a clear point of view. We are interested in ideas that remain useful beyond a single news cycle and give readers room to make their own decisions.

What we welcome

Propose a focused essay, comparison, explanatory piece or occasion-based guide about travel pace, curiosity, encounters, memory or returning home. Strong ideas name a real question, explain why it matters to travellers and offer an angle that is more specific than a list of places to visit.

What makes a good pitch

Tell us the working title, central idea, intended reader and the main points the piece would cover. Explain what makes your approach distinct and how you would handle claims that need checking. Keep the proposal concise and avoid unsupported promises, generic destination roundups or advice that depends on readers overlooking local conditions.

How to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include relevant context about your proposed angle, but do not send unpublished confidential material. A pitch is a proposal, not a guarantee of publication.

Our point of view

A trip is not a race to collect places.

We look at the decisions that shape a journey, and the moments that can matter more than a full itinerary.
